I used to wonder how my friends were able to save big bucks on the items they bought. I recently found out how. They sign up with directbuy to have access to much lower prices for home furniture and furnishings, for instance.
Their membership allows them to buy at manufacturer-direct prices and that gives them a saving as much as over 40%! There are lots of other products that one can buy at manufacturer prices without traditional retail markup.
