National Kidney Foundation Mobile Health Screening Unit

The other day over the radio, I heard that kidney disease has risen year-on-year resulting in higher number of people needing dialysis. Regular health screening could play an important role in the early detection and prevention of kidney disease.

The National Kidney Foundation (NKF) launched the NKF LifeCheck mobile health screening unit to bring health screenings and counselling directly to the public at an affordable cost of RM2 per screening.

For RM2, the public can check their blood pressure, body mass index, waist circumference, blood glucose, blood cholesterol, urinalysis and get professional counselling.

The NKF Lifecheck will be at the Yayasan Kajian dan Pembangunan Masyarakat, Selayang, on Saturday, Jan 26 (10am to 4.30pm) and at the Holy Redeemer Church in Klang on Sunday, Jan 27 (9.30am to 4.30pm).

To confirm dates and for more information, call Zai or Ying at 03-7954 9048 ext 225/242.
