Treating Cough and Cold

Many of us do not realise that cough is a symptom of a disease, and not a disease in itself. Hence, it’s important that parents consult a doctor instead of self-prescribing their young child.

An FDA advisory announced its recommendation that cough and cold medicines should not be used in children below six. The main concern is over-dosage, when most people guess-timate the dosage of cough medicines when giving it to their young.
