Color your home right

Colors play an important part in our life. Colors reflect our mood and temperament and colors can influence how we feel. Take for instance the home. Soothing and pastel colors are often preferred over bright striking colors. We outfit our home with colors that we feel comfortable with from color of the furniture to draperies from tiles to vessel sinks. The colors we choose are important as we will be having them around for awhile.

A good real estate broker makes a difference

It is often said that buying real estate is a good investment. Buying a new property is a lot easier than buying a second-hand home. Whether one is looking into buying or selling a home, a good real estate broker makes a difference.

A friend who emigrated to Australia some years back, had no problem getting buyers for the two properties she wanted to sell. Her real estate broker managed to get her buyers the first month the news of the sale was released.

Fitness and Fresh Air

The beauty of a tropical climate is that we get flowers all-year round. On Sunday mornings, our city parks are often popular places for families to take in some fresh air and some leisure activities.

Our Lake Gardens is a most popular place. It has running tracks, picnic places, a huge birdpark, an orchid garden, a rose garden among others. I once saw a group of athletes with a gadget that looked like a pulse oximeter. The Lake Gardens is truly a venue for everyone and all sorts of activities.

How to lose weight effectively

The annual mega sale is back again and will be on until early September so a few of my girlfriends and I decided to do a spot of shopping plus catching up on what we've been up to lately.

Half of us had a whale of a time being successful in getting some really neat clothes while the other half was not so lucky. All their hardwork at the gym is not really helping. They probably need something like hoodia, a natural botanical ability to suppress a person's appetite and promote weight loss.

Losing Sleep over Children's Schoolwork?

School life is not all fun and games as Jothi's daughter, Lucy, found out. Jothi, a colleague, is also having sleepless nights herself because Lucy is losing interest in her schoolwork despite attending extra tuition classes. This has prompted Jothi to look around for other tuition centers hoping that there would be an innovative tutor who would be able to inspire Lucy to love schoolwork again thus improving on her grades.

Among the centers Jothi was looking at, SCORE! Learning Centre stands out. At SCORE! they take an active approach to hands-on tutoring. The curriculum is designed to help children succeed, while making sure they enjoy the learning process. It's just natural that when children love to learn, they'll learn.

At SCORE! they concentrate on the 3 R's, Arithmetic (that's Math), Reading, and Writing. Jothi is glad they also teach Study Skills as most students do not do well in exams due to the lack of study skills. Jothi is convinced that Lucy will be her old self, loving schoolwork again.
